Get to Know Me Beyond the Camera

I was born and raised in Los Angeles — South Central, to be exact — where the sun always hits a little different, and so do the stories. I spent most of my childhood balancing private school uniforms with neighborhood culture, which probably explains why I can discuss philosophy one minute and Lakers stats the next. I graduated from UC Riverside in 2019 with a degree in Philosophy and a minor in English, which basically means I think way too much about everything — including light, angles, and why kids never look at the camera when you need them to.

Photography came into my life the same year I graduated. I picked up a camera in 2019 just to document life, and it quickly became more than a hobby. What started as taking pictures for fun turned into a passion — and eventually a profession by 2022. I’m drawn to photojournalistic storytelling because real moments matter to me — the quiet, the spiritual, the unfiltered pieces of life that tell the truth without needing to pose. I shoot faith, culture, family, and community because that’s what raised me.

When I’m not behind the camera, I’m usually chasing my son, Miles — or chasing miles myself. (Yes, I run for fun. Don’t ask me why.) Fatherhood keeps me humble, photography keeps me curious, and LA keeps me inspired — traffic and all. Whether I’m capturing a baptism, a street scene, or a small detail most people might overlook, my goal is simple: to freeze a moment that feels real enough to remember.
